Akiban Server Enterprise Edition
Akiban Server Enterprise Edition (EE) is the first commercial product to implement Akiban’s Table-Grouping™ technology delivering transformational performance and scalability improvements over traditional relational databases.
Enterprise Edition comes with the MySQL Replication Adapter and with Akiban Studio, making it the perfect complement to MySQL production databases currently suffering from performance and scalability problems.
Enterprise Edition can consistently accelerate queries that take MySQL seconds or even minutes by a factor of 10x to 100x. Akiban Table-groups can be implemented without migration risks or disruption caused by application rewrites by simple configuring a MySQL replication slave and installing the Akiban Server EE.
Akiban Server
Akiban Server is the open core of all Akiban’s solutions. It is an all-java relational database system that implements Akiban’s Table-Grouping™ technology to deliver breakthrough performance, scalability and capabilities:

MySQL Replication Adapter
MySQL Replication Adapter is a storage engine for MySQL (version 5.5 or later) that uses Akiban Server for data persistence. It is used to replicate a MySQL master database to an Akiban slave database.
- Replicates from MySQL master databases using standard MySQL replication
- Instantly replicates from MySQL tables to optimized Akiban Server table-groups
- Enables the enhanced performance of Akiban Server with dynamic data, always synchronized with the MySQL master database
- Can be deployed in failover mode (back to master or to a second Akiban Server)
Using the MySQL Replication Adapter, you can improve the performance of MySQL applications without the risks of a full-scale database replacement.
